Othello21 Dance

Shakespeare's 'Othello' depicts the timeless themes of love, betrayal and jealousy; themes that have gripped audiences for centuries and still possess the power to enthral audiences today. We are bringing 'Othello' into the 21st-century through innovative dance, aiming to enhance the beloved and timeless piece for the modern viewer. This reimagining of Shakespeare's classic work has been written for a new era of art. Both performance will be followed by a Q&A in presence of Artistic Director Ben Love and Composer Julian Joseph, chaired by Dr Sandra Mae Bourne of the British Black Ballet Project. Funded by Arts Council England and Wandsworth Arts Fringe, with in-kind support from Royal Academy of Dance.
